“Every Sunday I take time to reflect upon the week’s happenings and no matter if they’re good or bad (it’s all relative, really) I decide to focus on gratitude”.
Okay so, I don’t really do that. But I’d like to be the kind of person that does…I think… π
It sounds nice, right…?
From what I’ve noticed, when gratitude is actually genuine, the habit is easier to form. When it’s a habit, it’s obviously not as much of a chore… so you don’t have to or need to set aside time on purpose in order to express gratitude. Of course there’s nothing wrong with that but…
I’m one of the types that gets kinda stressed out by a to-do list… and adding something like “gratitude journal/reflection” at the end of an already busy week… honestly makes me not want to do it at all. π (Even if it’s just a 10 minute meditation for mindfulness)
In my opinion, it’s an absolute necessity though. So, I’m working on making it a habit.. even the little things… no, I’m serious. I’ve been thanking stop lights for staying green, y’all π
When you express how thankful you are for everything, God sees that. The Universe matches that energy and knows you can handle more of it – so you wind up attracting even more of what you’re already grateful for.
With all that said, I wound up having some free time today, with NO internet access… so I did a few brain-dumps for some blog posts, wrote this caption, and actually wrote a gratitude journal entry. I’ll spare y’all the details, and share the summary : I’m grateful that I was born with infinite, divine worthiness. I’m grateful for being able to find a lesson to learn or positive outlook on otherwise negatively-seen circumstances and events. I’m grateful for the ability to ~gracefully~ let things go that no longer serve me, so that I can be grateful for the bigger & better things I now have space for. π
