Staying in alignment with your higher self is super important when it comes to achieving success, abundance, and prosperity with ease. It may sound like something rather complicated and hard to do though, given you’re basically changing your reality. If you remember what I’m about to share with you and implement these tips, it’ll turn into a breeze. If you’re unfamiliar with the term “higher-self”, or haven’t had time to explore your best-self, keep reading! I’d like to take this moment to remind you : Our higher-selves, our own divine being already exists within us. We’re not so much “learning” to be our higher selves as we are remembering.
Stay in alignment by embodying your higher self
You know that version of yourself you imagine in the future, when you’ve achieved your big goals, or milestones, or whatever your vision of success is? Become as much like that you, as you can in this present moment, in the now. This actually took me a while to effectively implement but here are some questions that helped me finally hone in on knowing that version of me even better :
What would the best version of myself eat/how would my diet look like?
What type of clothes would I wear/what style would I slay?
How would I start my day?
Would I spend more time in nature?
How would I feel about myself? – my self-esteem, self-worth, self-confidence, etc.
How would I treat others?
How would I take care of my body, mind, and soul?
What would I do to make difference in the world?
How would I make money?
Where would I live?
What are the biggest differences between the you in this present moment and the you of your dreams?
These are what I like to call “DR” (dream reality) questions. There are absolutely no limitations – dream big! You’re more than worthy, you deserve everything you desire! Once you’ve answered some (or all) of those questions, it’s time to use the answers. The way I embody my highest self in the now is by taking baby steps. I dig into the answers and find things that may be small now, but are things I can implement into my life. It’s the consistency of baby steps! For example : I’ve always imagined myself as a sweet, loving, cute, almost fairy-like divine being that’s out-going and charismatic. What I’ve started doing to get there consists of going out of my comfort zone, and gradually growing out of my shyness.
Stay in alignment by doing the inner work
The inner work and soul healing is super helpful, because the highest version of yourself is a being of pure love and source. Soul healing is like self-led therapy, and there are several different ways to do this. Why do we need it though? We all encounter energy fragmentation. Energy fragmentation is when, during a traumatic event, our ego steps in to take over. During the process, a part of our soul breaks away to help numb us, to prevent us from being ‘too sensitive’. For some reason, I think of this sort of how horcruxes are made in Harry Potter. Ultimately, soul healing is attracting the fragmented pieces/energy back to you, so you’re whole again! There are 3 . . . ‘categories’ that I’ve separated inner-work into :
- Inner-child healing
When it comes to healing our inner child – it helps to know that most of inner-child healing is related to issues with self-esteem, trust, and safety. Of course, it’s not limited to that. Those are good places to explore first though, if you’re aware of some your issues in those departments. There are SO many guided meditations for inner-child healing on Youtube, as well as other videos that share other methods like journaling or ETF. - Traumatic/PTSD healing
Because trauma is a mind, body, and energy response to a deeply distressing event/experience, there are some different ways to heal&deal (haha..haaaa…) here. There are 3 different parts of you that are effected by trauma. When we encounter a traumatic event or experience, not only does our mind sometimes develop fears and looping memories… but our body stores trauma in our cells. And similar to energy fragmentation, trauma disrupts our flow of energy, and creates energy-flow blockages. This healing can take a bit more work, and a long time. You’re not on your own though! There are also videos for this on Youtube, and helpful books to read (Waking The Tiger by Peter Levine). - Shadow work
Shadow work is sort of a blanket category, and can technically be considered both of the above. For lack of better brain-organization though, this what I consider “everything” else that I haven’t labeled as inner-child or trauma. This is kind of a starting place, if you will. Shadow work is actually making friends with your “shadow self” – the part of you that you’re not proud of, or that you don’t like, or want to change. Your shadow self actually has it’s own energy field, and acts/operates outside of your conscious awareness. Being aware here, means noticing when your shadow self is acting instead of your higher self!
There are ways to spot it, (so you can become more aware of it, and decide how/where you higher self is different). One being your emotional triggers! Notice the trigger, AS it’s happening, before it takes over and you react (instead of respond). Take a moment to ponder why you’re feeling like this. The more your react on your emotion triggers, the bigger your shadow gets. Another way of spotting your shadow self in action are your projections onto others. How you project onto others and your outside world can tell you a LOT. We’re conditioned to see just our projections instead of what they’re projected from : ourselves. If it isn’t an issue you have within yourself, you wouldn’t be bothered by it. (: (The truth isn’t always comfortable).
Stay in alignment by re-discovering who you truly are
Lastly, I want to suggest taking the initiative of re-learning who you truly are. Who you were sent here to be. What you were sent here to do. Through all the “bull****” (its really all subjective…) we go through in life, we lose track, give up, and sometimes give in, and change ourselves for others because that’s what societal expectations do to us. No more! I’m still rediscovering who I am/was/am coming back to. There are two (2) systems that have really resonated with me, that I’ve mentioned before : Human design and my natal birth chart.
You can get your free human design chart from here. It all looks super complicated and hard to understand at first but as long as you know your type, authority, strategy, and not-self theme, you’re well on your way! Those aspects of your human design are what really define how you energetically interact and experience the human experience. They’re also extremely helpful when it comes to determining your purpose.
I like to also use my natal chart to “confirm” understandings and learnings from my human design chart. I’m still learning a lot there, but have noticed a lot of correspondences between my human design type and north node. Human design also incorporates astrology so, it makes sense. I’m working on a post to help explain the different aspects of what I consider the “basics” of both charts!
On a day-to-day . . .
We can encounter things daily that knock us out of alignment though. And I want to remind you that it’s okay! We’re simply not here to be “high vibe” all the time. If we were supposed to be in line with our higher selves all the time… we would completely miss out on the human experience. The human experience is the ups & downs! The things that make us uncomfortable, our triggers, etc. are what actually help us grow the most. I could write on and on about this, but in order to keep this blog post from being never-ending, I’ve included another helpful bit of information in my welcome email to my subscribers. If you’re interested in more, please feel free to subscribe (and then confirm!) using the form below – you’ll be sent a text version, a printable version, and a high-resolution PNG of a method I use to re-focus.

I love you all, I hope you found this post helpful! If you did, I’d super appreciate if you shared it with your like-minded friends & family, or saved it to a Pinterest board. <3
