Staying in Alignment : 3 Tips to Help You Stay Up there with Your Higher Self

Stay in Alignment : 3 tips to help keep you in alignment with your higher self so you can achieve more success, prosperity, and abundance with ease!
Photo by Karly Santiago on Unsplash

Staying in alignment with your higher self is super important when it comes to achieving success, abundance, and prosperity with ease. It may sound like something rather complicated and hard to do though, given you’re basically changing your reality. If you remember what I’m about to share with you and implement these tips, it’ll turn into a breeze. If you’re unfamiliar with the term “higher-self”, or haven’t had time to explore your best-self, keep reading! I’d like to take this moment to remind you : Our higher-selves, our own divine being already exists within us. We’re not so much “learning” to be our higher selves as we are remembering.

Stay in alignment by embodying your higher self

You know that version of yourself you imagine in the future, when you’ve achieved your big goals, or milestones, or whatever your vision of success is? Become as much like that you, as you can in this present moment, in the now. This actually took me a while to effectively implement but here are some questions that helped me finally hone in on knowing that version of me even better :

What would the best version of myself eat/how would my diet look like?
What type of clothes would I wear/what style would I slay?
How would I start my day?
Would I spend more time in nature?
How would I feel about myself? – my self-esteem, self-worth, self-confidence, etc.
How would I treat others?
How would I take care of my body, mind, and soul?
What would I do to make difference in the world?
How would I make money?
Where would I live?
What are the biggest differences between the you in this present moment and the you of your dreams?

These are what I like to call “DR” (dream reality) questions. There are absolutely no limitations – dream big! You’re more than worthy, you deserve everything you desire! Once you’ve answered some (or all) of those questions, it’s time to use the answers. The way I embody my highest self in the now is by taking baby steps. I dig into the answers and find things that may be small now, but are things I can implement into my life. It’s the consistency of baby steps! For example : I’ve always imagined myself as a sweet, loving, cute, almost fairy-like divine being that’s out-going and charismatic. What I’ve started doing to get there consists of going out of my comfort zone, and gradually growing out of my shyness.

Stay in alignment by doing the inner work

The inner work and soul healing is super helpful, because the highest version of yourself is a being of pure love and source. Soul healing is like self-led therapy, and there are several different ways to do this. Why do we need it though? We all encounter energy fragmentation. Energy fragmentation is when, during a traumatic event, our ego steps in to take over. During the process, a part of our soul breaks away to help numb us, to prevent us from being ‘too sensitive’. For some reason, I think of this sort of how horcruxes are made in Harry Potter. Ultimately, soul healing is attracting the fragmented pieces/energy back to you, so you’re whole again! There are 3 . . . ‘categories’ that I’ve separated inner-work into :

  • Inner-child healing
When it comes to healing our inner child – it helps to know that most of inner-child healing is related to issues with self-esteem, trust, and safety. Of course, it’s not limited to that. Those are good places to explore first though, if you’re aware of some your issues in those departments. There are SO many guided meditations for inner-child healing on Youtube, as well as other videos that share other methods like journaling or ETF.
  • Traumatic/PTSD healing
Because trauma is a mind, body, and energy response to a deeply distressing event/experience, there are some different ways to heal&deal (haha..haaaa…) here. There are 3 different parts of you that are effected by trauma. When we encounter a traumatic event or experience, not only does our mind sometimes develop fears and looping memories… but our body stores trauma in our cells. And similar to energy fragmentation, trauma disrupts our flow of energy, and creates energy-flow blockages. This healing can take a bit more work, and a long time. You’re not on your own though! There are also videos for this on Youtube, and helpful books to read (Waking The Tiger by Peter Levine).
  • Shadow work
Shadow work is sort of a blanket category, and can technically be considered both of the above. For lack of better brain-organization though, this what I consider “everything” else that I haven’t labeled as inner-child or trauma. This is kind of a starting place, if you will. Shadow work is actually making friends with your “shadow self” – the part of you that you’re not proud of, or that you don’t like, or want to change. Your shadow self actually has it’s own energy field, and acts/operates outside of your conscious awareness. Being aware here, means noticing when your shadow self is acting instead of your higher self!

There are ways to spot it, (so you can become more aware of it, and decide how/where you higher self is different). One being your emotional triggers! Notice the trigger, AS it’s happening, before it takes over and you react (instead of respond). Take a moment to ponder why you’re feeling like this. The more your react on your emotion triggers, the bigger your shadow gets. Another way of spotting your shadow self in action are your projections onto others. How you project onto others and your outside world can tell you a LOT. We’re conditioned to see just our projections instead of what they’re projected from : ourselves. If it isn’t an issue you have within yourself, you wouldn’t be bothered by it. (: (The truth isn’t always comfortable).

Stay in alignment by re-discovering who you truly are

Lastly, I want to suggest taking the initiative of re-learning who you truly are. Who you were sent here to be. What you were sent here to do. Through all the “bull****” (its really all subjective…) we go through in life, we lose track, give up, and sometimes give in, and change ourselves for others because that’s what societal expectations do to us. No more! I’m still rediscovering who I am/was/am coming back to. There are two (2) systems that have really resonated with me, that I’ve mentioned before : Human design and my natal birth chart.

You can get your free human design chart from here. It all looks super complicated and hard to understand at first but as long as you know your type, authority, strategy, and not-self theme, you’re well on your way! Those aspects of your human design are what really define how you energetically interact and experience the human experience. They’re also extremely helpful when it comes to determining your purpose.

I like to also use my natal chart to “confirm” understandings and learnings from my human design chart. I’m still learning a lot there, but have noticed a lot of correspondences between my human design type and north node. Human design also incorporates astrology so, it makes sense. I’m working on a post to help explain the different aspects of what I consider the “basics” of both charts!

On a day-to-day . . .

We can encounter things daily that knock us out of alignment though. And I want to remind you that it’s okay! We’re simply not here to be “high vibe” all the time. If we were supposed to be in line with our higher selves all the time… we would completely miss out on the human experience. The human experience is the ups & downs! The things that make us uncomfortable, our triggers, etc. are what actually help us grow the most. I could write on and on about this, but in order to keep this blog post from being never-ending, I’ve included another helpful bit of information in my welcome email to my subscribers. Spiritual Reasons Behind Minimalism

Spiritual Reasons Behind Minimalism

Minimalism : My Spiritual Reasons Behind the Practice

Minimalism is different for everyone – thus, why they practice it has many different answers. I wrote this post for you guys in order to share my personal reasons behind my minimalism approach. Why? Because social media is really good at only showing us surface level aspects. For example : incredible white, pristine, almost empty houses . . . or homes with so much organization and simplicity that they barely look lived in. That’s NOT my minimalism.

This post may contain affiliate links and I may earn a small commission when you use them, at no additional cost to you. As an amazon affiliate, I earn from qualifying purchases.

My Minimalism Means Less is More

Less really is more, more often times than not. Less stuff = more space. I’m one of those people who can’t really stand clutter in my home. Almost everything has its own place ; I say almost because we DO live in a “tiny home” at the moment. When we moved here, is when I really embraced minimalism. I had no idea just how much we had. To paint a picture : we moved from 2000 square feet (3bd, 2 bth) into 670 square feet. After I realized how much of the “stuff” I held onto were things I hardly ever used, or completely forgotten about . . . I began to make it a conscious effort to only keep the bare minimum necessities in our home.

Less stuff = more appreciation. When we were moving, and I was bewildered by just how much we had, I realized how blessed I was, to have all these “things”. I was living so abundantly and didn’t even know it. Things that I once loved and were really excited about wound up shoved in the back of drawers and closets, or shoved under beds, or to the back of cupboards. They key phrase being, ‘once loved’. You see, just like people, material things can also stop serving your purpose. It’s GOOD to get rid of things that no longer serve you! (Would your higher self keep wearing underwear and socks that are holey and stained?)

When you get rid of things that no longer serve you, some amazing benefits automatically find their way to you

  • Renewed, inspirational, energy! Old things taking up space can cause stagnant energy in a home, which is why you tend to feel so much better after cleaning, putting things back where they go, and cleaning out closets, etc. By the Universe’s Law of Vacuum, when you get rid of something, something comes right back in, in order to fill the space. By not having loads of clutter that causes stuck energy, or by getting rid of old things that no longer serve you, you’re basically inviting a new, uplifting flow of energy.
  • An automatic, stronger and deeper sense of gratitude and appreciation for what you DO have. In case you didn’t know, gratitude is incredibly important for attracting the life of your dreams, and more abundance in general! Plus, who doesn’t love that warm and fuzzy feeling?
  • Having less makes it much easier to live presently.
  • When you get rid of things, you get to give back! Whether you drop stuff off at a Goodwill/Salvation Army, or post to a local free group, etc. you’re giving back – and thus, consciously increasing how the Law of Oneness and the Law of Cause and Effect are working for you. It will come back to you, in some form!

Minimalism made me a conscious consumer

Given my spiritual journey is about increasing my consciousness, this is a very important benefit of practicing minimalism.

I’m aware of the chemicals I bring into my home. The products I use to care for myself, my family, and my home are elected with purpose. When I am consciously shopping for household goods, I need them to meet my criteria :

  • Non-toxic for us
  • Eco-friendly products
  • Biodegradable packaging or packaging made with recycled materials
  • Cruelty free

When shopping for anything now, I stop and ask myself : “Does this serve me? Does this serve my purpose? Is this what my higher self would buy?” The reason for this is really simple. Even “little things” like purchases can be in or out of alignment with your higher self. Making conscious choices that mirror what the best version of yourself would do, gets you that much closer to that reality. It really is all the baby steps that get you places.

Aside from that, I also buy things with actual intention. Not because I “have to”. I buy groceries with the intention or nourishing my own human body, and my family’s. Self-care products are bought with the intention of appreciating my body, and taking care of it. Clothing is purchased with the intention of feeling confident and comfortable.

Minimalism makes money management easier. Like most households, we have a budget to stick to. Besides that budget, I have certain amounts to deposit into different savings accounts, plus the 10% I donate from every paycheck. Practicing minimalism helps keep things organized in the financial department. I never find myself browsing for hours in Target and then spending $150 that I didn’t intend to. That’s not to say that I ‘do without’, or never ‘treat myself’ (saving all the money from what would have been unnecessary spending just means I really treat myself). I’m not a tightwad, and I don’t manage my money ‘out of desperation’.

The simplicity that minimalism has added to my budget is phenomenal ; and something I didn’t really consider when deciding to leap into the practice. Being more confident and comfortable in managing your money also shows the Universe that you’re ready for more of it. πŸ˜‰

My Last, Best Intentional Purchases of 2021

With that said, I just had to share my latest (and last of 2021) conscious and intentional purchases. These have all been game-changers, and I wouldn’t share them if they were any less!

  • Wool Dryer Balls – I finally went with the wool balls, y’all. In order to stop using unhealthy, single use, disposable drier sheets and to replace toxic fabric softener. You also get 6 of them if you use this link for (currently) under $10! Plus, you can put a few drops of essential oils on them to make your laundry smell good!
  • 3-in-1 Ultrasonic Aromatherapy Diffuser & Himalayan Salt Lamp – I finally have an office again, and the old diffuser that I used before now resides in our bathroom. To avoid spills and the pure complication of moving it from room to room every time I wanted to use it, I found this gem! And oh my god, I LOVE this thing. The fact that its also a humidifier has really helped since our electric heat is so dry.
  • Obvi Grass-Fed Bovine Collagen Peptides – This stuff has not only done wonders for my hair, skin, and nails – but has improved the mobility of my joints too. Plus, the ‘Fruity’ and ‘Frosted’ cereal flavors are bomb. I’m on my second order of this stuff, and I plan on trying all the flavors.
  • Organic Mushroom Coffee – I got this for two reasons. One being that I was constantly forgetting to make coffee before bed, or set the timer for the coffee maker. Two being that I actually wanted to quit drinking so much coffee. All you have to do is mix this with water and warm it up, and it’s got the benefits of 7 different superfood mushrooms : Lion’s Mane, Reishi, Chaga, Cordyceps, Shiitake, Maitake, and Turkey Tail. AND, it tastes just like coffee. I actually mix the collagen peptides mentioned above in this, with a splash of almond milk and its amazing.
  • Titanium Electric Milk Frother – Alright, even my husband loves this thing. It’s probably the best $12 I’ve ever spent. I use it in the morning to mix my mushroom coffee and collagen peptides but, it’s also good for making protein shakes, and mixing flavor packets into cups of water (instead of stirring with a straw or spoon).

Minimalism has actually given me more

Minimalism has increased my productivity and ability to be present. I don’t spend hours every weekend cleaning, nor do I find myself endlessly looking for something I’ve lost (that I’m not even sure I have anymore… when was the last time I even used that?). Minimalism makes it much easier to appreciate and care for what I already have. Practicing minimalism for me, means being aware and conscious of purchases . . .and the things I’m bringing into my home – Are they safe for us? The environment? In terms of money management, yup, minimalism has helped me there too – and not from a place of lack!

Expressing Gratitude : A Thanksgiving Post

Expressing Gratitude : a landiekate.com blog post analyzing genuine gratitude and considering taking things for granted. Photo by Gabrielle Henderson on Unsplash

Expressing gratitude habitually is a game changer.
It just dawned on me that I was meant to launch this blog Thanksgiving week. Well, here we are. And what better to post about than Gratitude? It’s funny, it’s amazing, it’s fantastic how divine timing works out….
Gratitude has been such a HUGE factor in my life lately. Gratitude and faith are what keep me going. For real. Gratitude is an amplifier, guys!
Did you know, whatever you’re thankful for, you receive more of? Did you know that God/the Universe can tell if you’re authentic in your gratitude for something or not?

Expressing Gratitude : Before I ever did intentionally

Let me preface this next bit with : I wasn’t raised in a religious home. I was raised in a home where half the people knew there was “something else”, and the other half were die-hard atheists. I was confused, to say the least.

Storytime.
Something that always bothered me while growing up was visiting my dad’s house during the summer/winter and having to pray over my damn food. ‘Cause we didn’t do that at home, and dammit, if the food is in front of me, I’m ready to friggin’ eat it. I don’t wanna wait for everybody else to sit down, and then wait for a prayer to be said, and then have to mumble the word “Amen”. Praying over food was like, bizarre to me. Like, yeah, I’m grateful I have food, but why is it SO important to express gratitude for it E V E R Y T I M E? Imagine 7 year old me, sitting at a table, rolling my eyes, thinking “Come on guys, really? πŸ˜‘”
As I grew up a bit, I figured out it was “best” to just go along with things like that. It’s not that big of a deal, it takes like 5 seconds (if that). It’s just a habit for some people. I’d never sat down and really let myself feel what gratitude was. I was just “blindly grateful”.

Keep it genuine!

Actual gratitude though. You know what that feels like, right? To just sit there and thoroughly feel through the gratitude of whatever it is your thankful for? The abundance of joy and love that sweeps over you. ‘Specially if one of your larger prayers has been answered – you feel so full, you almost start crying out of joy & love? Its definitely up there on the list of “Best Feelings in the World”.
I can’t even begin to tell you an accurate estimate of how many times I’ve read/heard something like : “If you’re feeling ‘down’, count your blessings”. Or, “Start your day off right by finding 5 things to be grateful for”. This may sound crazy, but I didn’t know HOW to be grateful intentionally. Don’t get me wrong, – I was raised to say thank you and all that jazz. I was just under the impression that saying “I’m grateful for my car” was somehow supposed to make my day better, and my life would magically be amazing after that. What I’ve discovered is that rarely do people ever go into detail about HOW to actually express gratitude by FEELING it. You need to actually feel it.

Making it a habit

It wasn’t until I learned how to feel and process gratitude, that my life really started changing. Gratitude is a very high-vibrational force. God/the Universe picks up on it instantly. Its a form of energy. God is always working FOR you – what you’re expelling on an energetic level, he matches. Which is why you attract more of what you’re grateful for.
Taking time out of my day to express real gratitude has been such an amazing addition to my life. I appreciate things all day long – but I don’t always have time to really sit in it. My favorite new habit I’ve formed is having a “Gratitude Bomb Minute” (that turns into 5 minutes, usually). Thus via inspired nudges from the Universe, I’ve made a video of myself demonstrating, just for you guys! For every little thing I say, I visualize how my life would be without it. That’s how I’m truly grateful for even the “basics”. The things that, until I started doing these “Gratitude Bombs” I always took for granted. I got this idea from a podcast episode by Kathrin Zenkina. Ya know what? I’m forever grateful for her too, just for sharing it.

Brain Dump : Faith

Until I learned what true faith was . .  I had NO idea just what all it could do for me.

I couldn’t even begin to comprehend the absolute freedom of surrender. Having faith is one of the most difficult things our EGO goes through. Having faith means listening. Considering. Stepping out of our comfort zone. Being 100% honest with yourself.

Faith isn’t just “Yeah, everything will be okay”.

Faith is stepping back and seeing that you’re experiencing some obstacles : obstacles that you turn into opportunities and become genuinely grateful for. Why? Because with true faith, you KNOW that God/The Universe has your back, no matter what. When you know that . . . When you TRULY KNOW that, obstacles aren’t even a thing anymore.

Faith is tapping into our infant minds, back when we didn’t worry about our basic needs being met. When we were infants, we didn’t worry about being fed, or clothed, or protected. We just asked and received. We didn’t doubt our caregivers were going to provide. Our souls were still young and full of faith.

As our human bodies “age”, the human/earth experience often times dissipates that faith. And all we focus on… is survival (which is why our ego is important). Thus leading to a lot of unfulfilled lives. Survival does not equal purpose.

True faith, takes knowing the difference between when your SOUL is talking… and when your EGO is talking.

When you start aligning yourself with your purpose and your soul, more and more things work out.

You wanted that relationship to work out so, so bad, didn’t you? And you tried, and did everything you could, didn’t you? All while ignoring every flag that God sent you. The flags saying “Nu-uh. Not this one. Yours is on down the road.”

Your ego made you ignore those flags – because dammit, you wanted your soul mate right now, and you were even willing to change yourself to make it work. Changing yourself for someone else kicks you out of alignment though. When you ignored those flags, ‘poof’ went your faith. You lost your faith of God/The Universe knowing that there’s better out there for you, and you will receive it in divine timing.

We think we want something in life, and get stuck having tunnel vision for it.. forgetting there is absolute abundance of other options out there for us and that really, the best is always yet to come.

Brain Dump : “Abandoned Hobbies”

I have a theory around abandoned hobbies… πŸ’‘
And it’s not entirely mind-blowing but, it’s proving itself so far. At least in my case.

What if… all the hobbies or side-skills that you were suddenly inspired to get into over the years were actually meant to be?

What if . . . Your life purpose is something that can be achieved through some of those hobbies/skills/talents when they’re combined? The ones you gave up on? Because you didn’t have enough time? Or money? Or /devotion/? Or you weren’t “good enough”? (Whatever the hell that means… πŸ™„)

What I’ve been working on for the past month . . . Has involved almost every single skill, hobby, or talent I’ve ever touched on in my life.

🌈 A brief overview : 🌈
Graphic Design
E-commerce
Writing
Spirituality
Minimalism
Herbalism
Parenting
Illustration
Web Design
Coding
Network marketing
Social media management
Fitness/Personal trainer

I’m sure there’s more that I’m forgetting. πŸ€” You get the point though. Everything is connected in one way or another. All of us are.

When we get those bouts of inspiration for something new, I’m convinced it’s a nudge from God/the Universe. A nudge to get us on the right track. And if we don’t follow through with them, a new one comes along.

Thoughts?

Brain Dump : Letting Go of People

πŸ’« I was inspired to write this out today, so I pray it finds the person(s) that needs to read/hear it. πŸ’«

Its okay to out-grow people. Even the ones you care deeply about. Its okay to thank them for their involvement in your life and move on. Go about it gracefully, if you can.

I’ve come to the conclusion that outgrowing people is a symptom that YOU are growing as a person/soul, and that you’re on the right track to being the best version of yourself.

It’s unfortunate that it can be a painful thing to go through . . . Because you can really care about the people that you outgrow and really want the best for them.

BUT if they’re not ready to learn anything, or to be receptive to new ideas or ways of thinking or anything like that… letting them go is the best thing that you can do for them too.

You’ve done YOUR job, you’ve done YOUR part.
Hell, you never know how their life is going to turn out anyway.
You might’ve said something that struck them one day that they’re not going to remember instantly… BUT months or years down the road, it’ll click.
We don’t know the “how”, “what”, or “when” of how things are going to happen! You might run into them again and see that they’ve gone through some exponential growth.

The thing about it is, when you start trying and doing the best that you can in order to live your higher purpose…Guess what : when you outgrow these people and let them go..it serves your higher purpose, and it serves the universe’s higher purpose, and it serves their higher purpose. Whether or not they understand that…is not your job

Brain Dump : Trailer Plant Inspired Shadow Work

Today’s post is brought to you by…8 hours of working at a trailer plant. πŸ™Š

I think I’ve finally comprehended how important shadow work is, and what it brings after it. And it’s fantastic. Not fun, but the results are so so so worth it. You get rid of what’s blocking you from achieving your goals/desires and make room for them BY DOING shadow work.

Letting go of other things that not longer serve you is also a way to make more room/create that vacuum needed for growth. But things aren’t going to let you go until you’ve learned the lesson. Whatever it may be. If you try to let them go beforehand, they find a way to keep coming back into your life.

My latest breakthrough was from a “friend” of mine. And I am so so so grateful that she came into my life at this time, and was just the right person to teach me this lesson. She really taught me how to recognize my own triggers, which is essential for doing shadow work. She did this by constantly projecting onto others, and had ME walking on egg shells. Yeah, I know… I shouldn’t have put up with it for as long as I did (Is that how I made her feel..?). Besides that, our relationship was a clear display of the Law of Polarity, which helps a person realize what they do NOT want out of things like relationships, financial situations, careers, etc. πŸ‘€

Brain Dump : Gratitude

⭐ G R A T I T U D E ⭐

“Every Sunday I take time to reflect upon the week’s happenings and no matter if they’re good or bad (it’s all relative, really) I decide to focus on gratitude”.
Okay so, I don’t really do that. But I’d like to be the kind of person that does…I think… πŸ˜…
It sounds nice, right…?

From what I’ve noticed, when gratitude is actually genuine, the habit is easier to form. When it’s a habit, it’s obviously not as much of a chore… so you don’t have to or need to set aside time on purpose in order to express gratitude. Of course there’s nothing wrong with that but…

I’m one of the types that gets kinda stressed out by a to-do list… and adding something like “gratitude journal/reflection” at the end of an already busy week… honestly makes me not want to do it at all. πŸ˜• (Even if it’s just a 10 minute meditation for mindfulness)

In my opinion, it’s an absolute necessity though. So, I’m working on making it a habit.. even the little things… no, I’m serious. I’ve been thanking stop lights for staying green, y’all πŸ˜‚

When you express how thankful you are for everything, God sees that. The Universe matches that energy and knows you can handle more of it – so you wind up attracting even more of what you’re already grateful for.

With all that said, I wound up having some free time today, with NO internet access… so I did a few brain-dumps for some blog posts, wrote this caption, and actually wrote a gratitude journal entry. I’ll spare y’all the details, and share the summary : I’m grateful that I was born with infinite, divine worthiness. I’m grateful for being able to find a lesson to learn or positive outlook on otherwise negatively-seen circumstances and events. I’m grateful for the ability to ~gracefully~ let things go that no longer serve me, so that I can be grateful for the bigger & better things I now have space for. πŸ’–

Child Affirmations – Free Printable Download

Child affirmations. Mommy & Me Affirmations. Raising children intentionally.

Photo by Caroline Hernandez from Unsplash

Child affirmations, you say? Yup! Because . . . Lately, I’ve noticed a common theme in online social networks : sharing of posts, memes, etc. that revolved around healing and un-doing all the trauma that people’s parents have caused them. Tapping into that inner-child, and trying to erase or make sense of whatever traumatic things happened. Then there are posts/articles about raising our current children in a very intentional way that’s different than how we were raised ourselves. Its a very important movement, and one I think is gradually raising the consciousness of the planet. One soul at a time.

I Had A Seemingly Perfect Childhood, Though . . . (there WAS trauma)

Then I started thinking about my own childhood . . . Which, on the surface was absolutely peachy : Spoiled absolutely “rotten”, Disney/Universal Studios/Busch Gardens whenever I felt like it. Occasionally I would even do my homework at a theme park. Aside from that, I had a very close and loving relationship with my grandmother and mother. I got pretty much anything I asked for. I remember once when I was about 15, my grandparents discovered I was “depressed” and took me on a shopping spree – and that’s how I got my first Macbook. But MOVING ON, I DIGRESS. I’m not making this post to brag about my childhood. I’m using those statements to form a frame of reference for you guys. And to convey the truth that no matter how “spoiled” you believe you were, there’s still room for a growing child mind to experience traumatic events. I’m not going to get into the darker bits.

At least not on this post. I could write a novel. Since attempting to start making friends with my shadow self, I’ve realized some things : most of my triggers stem from my childhood. I’ve spent hours, probably over-analyzing certain memories, trying to heal from them. Or honor them. They seemed insignificant then. Nethertheless, they effected me in some way. The point I was trying to make : Seemingly small things can have a huge impact on our emotional and mental development. I can’t help but wonder how differently I would have turned out had someone done child affirmations with me.

The Soul/Body Separation

When we’re born onto this planet, our soul signs a . . .vow. Like, a “Vow of Amnesia”. We forget who we truly are. We forget that we’re all worthy, all perfectly and purposefully designed, divinely made, beautiful, creative etc. Beginning from infantry, we rely on the world, people around us, and our experiences to shape us. But how many times have you heard phrases like : “You are NOT your past experiences” “You are NOT your mother/father/sibling” etc, We’re not, but then . . . who are we? That’s a big part of the puzzle I believe we’re meant to find out. When you learn about who you truly are . . . that’s where the magic really is. That’s when you start to remember. And it’s amazing. After thinking and processing everything mentioned above, I wound up wanting to do something about it. As a mother, I want to help my daughter the best I can. I know I can’t do all the work for her… but dammit, I can help!

Mommy (or Daddy, etc.) & Me Affirmations

Just the thought of my baby girl not believing she’s worthy enough, or beautiful, or smart, strong, magical, etc. really broke my heart. She’s still young, so she’s unaware of those concepts, but I don’t think it’s too early to start reminding her. Cue the child affirmations I’ve started repeating with her. Standing next to her, while we look in the bathroom mirror, and hearing her repeat after me . . . it just does something to my heart and soul. It’s so warming, Sometimes I think I can almost see little magic sparkles of loving, positive energy. Every child deserves this. Every single one. I felt called and inspired to design a printable for you guys with the affirmations we use. It’d mean so much to me if you downloaded it, printed it, and started using it with your precious little one. I’m just trying to make a difference right now, with the resources I have. I’ll drop the download link below for you guys.

Spiritual Download : The One That Changed My Life

What is a ‘spiritual download’ ?

Let’s start this post off by defining “spiritual download”. They can actually be a lot of things. In my own words, they’re just… suddenly knowing. For example, a sudden idea for a blog post (aha!), or an idea for a painting. They can even be solutions to problems you’ve been trying to figure out – like a math question, when suddenly you realize what you’ve been doing incorrectly, and now you can solve it! They can be bits of inspiration, or nudges from the Universe. They can be sudden urges to compliment or call someone. They’re “ideas” or “data” the come out of “nowhere”. Did you know that Albert Einstein’s sudden knowing of the Law of Relativity came to him in a download? Yup.

“I’ve just been existing…”

Every day I’d do the same things… wake up, go to work, come home, eat, shower, maybe an hour of family time and being “present” and then to bed. Wake up, do it for 4 more days in a row . . . then be so burnt out by the weekend, that nothing even inspired me anymore. I was at a point where I had to force myself to do things with my family. Normal family things that should have been lighting me up. A trip to the zoo? A park day? Out for a stroller ride or walk? I couldn’t even enjoy being a mother to my organic womb fruit (I say that with so much love).

It broke my heart. I wanted so badly to enjoy being a mother and wife. Everyday, I’d beat myself up for not being able to (what’s wrong with me?!). Time on Earth was running out . . . the days that they’re small are gone before you know it. I thought I was content with my life… or at least that’s what I tried to tell myself (I had a decent job, most of my needs were met, etc). And my ego believed it because I was safely bundled in my comfort zone. My soul though… my soul was crying, screaming, and begging to be heard. And I somehow, just kept ignoring it…

My Spiritual Download : The 20GB Download That Changed My Life

The thing is, I didn’t realize that it was my soul that was in such distress. Honestly, I thought my ego and soul were one in the same (lmao, I know, right?). I figured I just needed some help, like a lot of people do. I mean, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that. So I medicated my symptoms of living a life out of alignment with some antipsychotics, and antidepressants. And viola~ they’ve helped tremendously. I actually still take my medications. However, something was still off. I was completely unsatisfied with my life when it came to purpose. I knew there was something else out there. Working for the majority of our lives in order to afford existing… and then dying just didn’t sit right with me, ya know?

As for the actual download . . .

At the beginning of October 2021, SOMETHING (spoiler alert : it was my higher self and intuition) led me to listening to Kathrin Zenkina’s (known for/as Manifestation Babe) podcasts. In the process, I was reminded about the concept of manifestation, law of attraction, quantum leaping, being a child of the universe, etc. For about 3 weeks, I kept getting “clicks” after clicks, after clicks (that’s what I prefer to call downloads). It was as if I had my very own “big bang”. I suddenly remembered that I did, in fact, have a purpose gifted to me by the cosmos. Once you know something, you can’t “un-know” it.

I put my foot down, and decided to devote myself to living my truth. After all, I had nothing to lose, and everything to gain. Doing so however, isn’t as easy as 2+2=4. Just discovering what your truth is can be a project of its own. I have an incredible amount to re-learn about myself, and how the universe works. Deciding where to start was a challenge enough – I wound up obtaining so much information so fast.

Who am I?

Who am I? Definitely not who I thought I was . . . but honestly if you were to ask me that before my big download, I wouldn’t have known either. “Name’s Landie. 27. Mother, Wife. Electrician at a trailer plant”. Boy, that really tells ya a lot, don’t it? Why is it so important to know who we are anyway? Why can’t we just go on existing without really caring? Maybe it has something to do with the ego, I’m not sure. Regardless, I’ve learned enough thus far to confidently say this : the more you know about yourself, the easier life is. How easy life is depends very little on outside circumstances. If someone would have told me that before my big spiritual download, I would have looked at them like they had 3 heads. But hear me out . . .

Human Design

What the ever-loving f*** is ‘human design‘? I had NO IDEA what Human Design was but discovering just the basics has helped me immensely so far in figuring out how my design works alongside my personality (who we THINK we are). Digging deeper and studying my own human design is going to be a big part of this journey.

Human Design is a revolutionary system that maps your personal energy field, giving precise and profound insight into the energetic makeup of your conscious and unconscious mind. It’s a system that shows you how you were built, and how to best respond to the world around you.

Natal Charts

Okay, yikes. I am going to sit here and willingly type this : I never once thought astrology had anything at all to do with how my life flows. Remember the first time (maybe in school) you read your horoscope? When you were younger and just trying to stand out, or compare signs with your friends? Maybe determine whether some one was girlfriend/boyfriend material based on the day they were born? I personally never resonated with my zodiac sign. Everything I’d ever read pertaining to what an Aries was supposed to be . . . was my complete opposite. I’ve tossed astrology to the side as pure nonsense until now. So, aside from human design . . . I’m also on a quest to learn to read and understand my own natal birth chart.

I want my journey to help and inspire you, too

While my human design and natal charts are unique to me, I want to share my journey with YOU. I want to be that inspiration for you. I’m telling you that there is definitely more to life, and it begins with a spiritual journey (that’s often the result of a spiritual download!). I encourage you to look into your own! Increasing your consciousness, and living your human life in alignment with your unique soul design brings forth amazing things! When I’m in line to living my truth, I can’t help but experience the most magical euphoria and soul-hugging bliss. Of understanding, belonging, and love. Upon further reflection, it was the lack of faith I had in myself (not listening to my intuition) that held me back for so long. Trust yourself. Believe yourself. Listen to your intuition.

It actually hasnt been a year yet. It actually hasnt been a year yet.

The date, I believe, was Oct. 26, 2021

So, almost 8 months.

Almost 8 months ago I decided to step out of my comfort zone, and dive headfirst into the never-ending journey of bettering myself and understanding the Universe.

But that one decision has lead me on a path of constant, consistent growth in so many areas of my life.

One choice has done so much for me.

I decided to make it based on the ultimatum of "I'll give this way of life a shot for a year, and see where it gets me". πŸ€β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹

I have experienced such exponential growth, in so many areas of my life since then, it'd astonishing.

And it hasn't even been a year; The Universe doesn't do time. That's a human thing.

So if you're waiting for the perfect timing to make a certain decision about something important... stop waiting and just make up your mind. The perfect time will never come; or at least you won't see it that way.

At the time the choice I made felt and seemed like a big one, but looking back... it was just one step on a brand new stairwell.
I really don't enjoy summer. πŸ˜…β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹

I believe we've been conditioned to think that we should enjoy it. If you went through your younger years attending public schools, it was your vacation time. πŸ–οΈβ€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹
So, of course, most kids would learn to enjoy the summer. . . there's no school.

Yeah no.
Earth is beautiful. πŸŒŽβ€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹
The different seasons are equally energetically important and necessary for sustainable life.
🍁I love autumn: To be cozy, to witness the drastic change in color.
❄️I love winter: Snow-covered landscapes, seasonal foods, and traditions are what I look forward to all year.
🌷I like spring for the most part (minus the yearly tornadoes): My perennials come back, my birthday's in April, and I'm always inspired by small, new life emerging.
β˜€οΈI tolerate summer. I love the sunshine and longer days. But I have / n e v e r / enjoyed the heat. I grew up in Tampa, FL, and thought THAT heat was bad. πŸŒ΄β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹
Boy, Alabama summers have Florida beat. They're brutal. πŸ₯΅
It's doesn't have to be a: It's doesn't have to be a:
"this or that", "black and white", "left or right"
type of situational decision when it comes to expanding your business.

You don't have to compromise in some areas in order to grow as a soul-led human being, and if you're running your business that way . . . it works the same!

And don't confuse prioritizing necessary behind-the-scenes tasks... with compromising in some departments because your energy is stretched thin.
This is easily one of my favorite corners in my ho This is easily one of my favorite corners in my house. I may or may not already be wondering how I'm going to recreate these vibes when we buy a home. 😜 Anyway . . .

I know I'm not the only one who does this (I can't be..), but... πŸŒˆβ€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹

Has anybody else come to the realization that they've been subconsciously recreating certain spaces from their childhood. Or good times in their life? πŸΈβ€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹

Spaces that you remember fondly, nostalgic places. It may have been a specific room or even just an area of a room. πŸŒ΄β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹

I've had a few moments of clarity lately. A few moments of blissful awareness and understanding. . . that this is what I do A LOT when it comes to decorating and choosing what comes into my home. πŸ‘β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹

These spaces I recreate are similar to ones I remember so well, ones that bring me a lot of comfort. The kind of comfort you feel when . . . you get homesick at your first sleepover, and your mom (or whoever) shows up at their door to your rescue. So, relief too.

Comfort. Relief. Safety. Relaxation. Cozy. Warm. Loved. πŸ’–
What Started out as Pinterst Pins for podcast epis What Started out as Pinterst Pins for podcast episodes turned into a complete visual rebranding. And the series of events that led to that are something I love most about the work I do.

And it's really not just the work that I do, but what it turns into: the underlying potential for long-lasting, impactful relationships

Someone asked me what kind of work I do the other Someone asked me what kind of work I do the other day. I answered.
What happened next caught me off guard. Instead of the usual look of bewilderment, they asked me what my favorite thing to do is.

I paused for a second and then blurted out "Graphic design or anything that can be or have creative or artistic elements". I'd never been asked that before. I went home that day and actually sat on that question and the answer I gave.

I wasn't sure it was true.

Which… was silly because I know that was just my intuition taking over and, something I've been trying to do is strengthen my relationship with it. I'm learning not to second-guess myself.

My absolute favorite way to be of service to others is to come up with solutions to their creative. . . "problems".

I've made custom clipart. I've made logos. Flyers. Websites. Prints & Wall DΓ©cor. Embroidery patterns. Email templates. and so much more because that's what I love, and thus what I tend to attract.

And those creative solutions always come easiest. They bring me the most joy and my clients are always over the moon about them. And that's what REALLY matters.
And that's why I love me some Abraham Hicks. βœ¨πŸŒ΄πŸƒπŸŒˆ
Ah, imposter syndrome. I think everybody has exper Ah, imposter syndrome. I think everybody has experienced imposter syndrome at least once. If not . . . I'd like to ask some questions πŸ˜…β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹

Seriously though, I've had many instances where I've let imposter syndrome take the lead: that is, not following through with something because it either wasn’t absolutely perfect or I didn't believe I could ever get it to that point, so why bother? I'd just never be able to do that good enough. πŸ™„β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹

It's kept me from success, and an abundant, happy, fulfilling life. Yeah, LIFE. It was prevalent in all areas of my life, not just business.

I didn’t think I deserved to prosper. And if I did, it wouldn't last long.

I thought I was a terrible mother for always being too tired to enjoy these "little moments" that everybody speaks so fondly of. Not spending enough 1-on-1 time with my daughter. Giving in to her "fits", etc.

I believed I was a bad wife for going to bed with dishes in the sink, clothes in the drier and barely ever cooking.

I knew I had skills and talents but never thought I was good enough to make anything with them, or put them to use in a way that would benefit anybody.

We ALL have thoughts like this from time to time but they're also . . . all bull-πŸ’©.
It's sad to say that this familiar thought process completely determined my trajectory in life. Until I'd had enough.

One day I realized that imposter syndrome works along side the fear of what others will think of us and what we're doing. Fear of judgement. Once I got over that hump, I knew I could have whatever I wanted. Do whatever I wanted. Be whoever I wanted.

I was (still am) worthy and deserving of whatever I was going after, and what people thought about it had zero impact. I've evolved. πŸ§¬β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹

And if you're suffering from it, I want you to know that you can too.
